We're John and Lynne, and for years we dreamed of creating a space where dogs could truly be dogs — off-lead, exploring, sniffing, running and rolling in the freedom of nature, without the worry of roads, livestock or unpredictable encounters.

That dream is now a reality. T in the Bark is a 1.7-acre private woodland dog park tucked away near Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire, and we're getting ready to open our gates.

Why a private dog park?

We know the feeling. You drive to a gorgeous beach or forest walk, only to find your dog can't go off-lead because of other dogs, or livestock in nearby fields, or a busy car park. Maybe your dog is reactive and needs space to decompress. Maybe you just want to throw a ball without worrying about who's around the corner.

That's exactly what T in the Bark solves. When you book a session, the park is yours. No strangers, no surprises — just your dogs and 1.7 acres of woodland adventure.

What you'll find

Our park isn't a flat, fenced field. It's a genuine woodland experience with natural trails winding through mature pine trees, a dead hedge maze for curious noses, tractor tyre climbing and digging areas, and an open meadow for flat-out zoomies.

We've built The Bark Bothy — a converted horsebox shelter where you can sit with a hot drink while your dogs explore. There's a woodland water station fed by our rainwater harvesting system, Paw Portal Tunnels for the brave ones, and logs, branches and natural obstacles scattered throughout.

The whole site is enclosed with secure fencing and a double-gated entrance, so even the most determined escape artist isn't going anywhere.

Sessions to suit every dog

We offer two core sessions:

  • The Wander — 25 minutes of off-lead play for up to 4 dogs (£7)
  • The Expedition — 55 minutes for those dogs who need a proper adventure (£13, up to 4 dogs)
We're also launching The Pack Expedition for professional dog walkers and larger groups — 55 minutes for up to 8 dogs at £22.

Every session is private hire, so the park is exclusively yours for the duration of your booking.

Where to find us

We're at West Turna Lief, just outside Cruden Bay (AB42 0PD). If you know the area, you'll know the stunning coastline and rolling countryside — and now there's a woodland playground for your dogs right in the heart of it.

When are we opening?

We're putting the finishing touches on the park right now and aiming to welcome our first visitors in September 2026. Online booking will be available soon — keep an eye on our website and social media for the official opening date.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, drop us a line at [email protected] or call us on 07931 353913. We'd love to hear from you.

See you in the woods! 🐾
